Christian Community Service's Take-a-Tag program is underway, and tags are available at the Post Office. The program supports North Reading families who might not otherwise be able to provide Christmas gifts for their children. People are encouraged to take a tag, purchase a gift and return it unwrapped to the Post Office by Dec. 11. The main goal of the program is to provide warm winter clothing to children in need. In addition, each child receives two to three age-appropriate wish-list items of less than $30, such as board games and other toys.
