Linen Drive for Mission of Deeds

Mission of Deeds Linen Drive

Saturday, December 15, 2012

6 Chapin Avenue, Reading MA

Benjamin Oakes, a senior at Reading Memorial High School and a member of Boy Scout Troop 702 in Reading, is leading a linen drive for the Mission of Deeds (6 Chapin Avenue in Reading) from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm on Saturday,
December 15, 2012 as part of his Eagle project. Mission of Deeds serves the needy in the greater Boston area by providing them with household goods and furnishings. The Mission of Deeds desperately needs new or used blankets, bed sheets, comforters, mattress pads, towels/face cloths, dish cloths, crib linens and new pillows as we enter the cold winter season.  Twin bed sheets, blankets, mattress pads and comforters are in particular need.

There are two mechanisms in place to make donations.  Donated items can be brought to the Mission of Deeds facility at 6 Chapin Avenue in Reading from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm this Saturday (12/15/12).  Boy Scout Troop 702 will be available to collect and sort your donated items.  Alternatively, during the next two weeks items can be placed into collection boxes that have been placed at Bagel World in Reading, Reading Memorial High School, Coolidge Middle School, and Wal-Mart in North Reading.  All donations are greatly appreciated and will directly help the needy in our area.  Please contact Benjamin at 781-942-2559 if you have any questions about the drive.
