Massachusetts Authors at Reading Public Library
The Reading Public Library presents the Massachusetts Authors Series, a unique new series of book discussions and author visits featuring Massachusetts Book Award-winning authors from the 2012 and 2011 “Must Read Books” lists. This series is co- sponsored by the Reading Public Library Foundation and the Friends of Reading Public Library.
The series kicks off on Wednesday September 26 at 7 pm with a discussion of Margot Livesey’s The Flight of Gemma Hardy. The round-table discussion will be introduced and led by our favorite group leader, Ann Murphy, Ph.D. Then on Friday, September 28, at 7 pm, Ms. Livesey will be at the library to read from and discuss her work and sign books.
The series will continue through the year with book discussions led by Ann Murphy and visits from authors Roland Merullo, Gish Jen, Jennifer Haigh, and Marge Piercy.
Discussions and author evenings are free and open to the public, with registration requested for book discussions only. Each program is independent of the others and you are invited to attend any or all!
Please call the library (781-944-0840) for more information or to register for the discussions, or visit www.readingpl.org where you may register online.
