RCN Boston announced recently that for the second time in a year, it is upgrading all customers to faster high speed Internet speeds. Starting Feb. 1, customers who are now at the 20 Mbps will increase to 25 Mbps, those at 40 Mbps will increase to 50 Mbps and those at 60 Mbps will increase to 75 Mbps.
In October 2011, RCN upgraded customers who were at 5 and 10 Mbps to 20 Mbps. These upgrades will enhance RCN's customers’ Internet experience allowing them to shop, stream, chat and play games online at lightning fast speeds with exceptional reliability.
“We understand that Internet speeds are very important to our customers who are tech savvy and want the reliability and experience that comes with having RCN as their provider,” said Jeff Carlson, Vice President and General Manager, RCN Boston. “That’s why we have upgraded all of our customers, so they can benefit by having faster Internet speeds no matter which package they choose.”
A new RCN customer can sign up for a high speed Internet plan at 25 Mbps for $39.99 per month, with no contract, and a three-year price assurance. RCN customers also have the opportunity to purchase bundled services for more savings.
“Our customers want to know how much they will be spending over the long term so that they can plan their household budgets. That’s why we offer a three-year price assurance for all customers,” said Carlson.
All across the Greater Boston area, RCN remains committed to providing great service for the best value. With RCN as the Internet provider, customers also get an ultra-reliable connection through its fiberoptic network and Internet package offerings that suit everyone.
The high speed Internet upgrades represent RCN’s ongoing commitment to customer satisfaction.
