Play It Again Sports moved from their former location at 265 to 225 Main St. next to the Hess Gas Station.

According to Manager Sueanne Chin, they purchased the land and the building that North Reading Hardware once occupied. They rennovated the interior and the new space is double the size of the old store.

The North Reading location is now the largest Play It Again Sports store in New England. They stock most of the same items as before, however, everything is more visible and it is much easier to shop.

According to employee David Ronco, they have expanded their selection of used equipment, hockey equipment and they hope to bring exercise equipment back to the store.

They stopped selling exercise equipment in their previous location, which they occupied for 18 years, due to space issues.

North Reading Hardware left behind a propane tank, which Play It Again took over. Although it does not "go hand in hand" with selling sporting goods, residents can fill their propane tanks at the new store.
