The Laurel Hill Cemetery photo taken by Mary Kate and Kasey wins for Reading and high school sunset photo taken by Jenn Castro wins for North Reading.

READING WINNER
Laurel Hill Cemetery is located behind The Old South Church in Reading and across the street from the Reading Fire Department's main station. The cemetery is bound by Main Street, Lowell Street, Highland Street and to the north by Federal Street. The picture was taken by Mary Kate and Kasey, Reading High School Girl Scouts who have earned recognition for their Reading photography efforts as seen in the "Sights of Reading" calendar each year.

In the Reading-North Reading Patch Facebook Cover Photo Contest, the Laurel Hill Cemetery photo taken by Mary Kate and Kasey easily won for Reading, while the photo taken by Jenn Castro of a sunset over the North Reading High School's football field narrowly won for North Reading.

By the time voting concluded at noon on Monday, Mary Kate and Kasey's photo had garnered 15 votes. Castro's photo had garnered three votes, narrowly beating out Jim Pothier's photo of North Reading Town Common.

The winners will receive a $50 gift card plus bragging rights that their photo is the top of our Facebook page!

I love how Reading looks with those beautiful green trees. The beautiful scenery is why I moved here.
