Around 7:45 p.m. Tuesday night, a white male robbed the Stop & Shop on Walkers Brook Drive in Reading, according to Reading Police.

After walking around the store for several minutes, the male stepped up to the courtesy booth at the grocery store and passed a note to the clerk demanding money. The note also stated, "there has been an explosive planted on me." 

The male was approximately six-feet tall, has a goatee, short hair cut and thin build. He was wearing a dark green military-style baseball cap, aviator sunglasses with dark lenses, a dark fleece jacket, jeans and white running shoes. He left the store on foot.
