Nolan Vesey struck early and Cam Russo struck late for Austin Prep, but it wasn't enough in the Super 8 championship game as Malden Catholic dominated in between for a third straight title.

Vesey found the back of the net 14 seconds into the game, but the Lancers put home the game's next three goals. Russo scored with 26.5 seconds left, but it was too little too late as the Cougars season came to an end Sunday at TD Garden.

"I can't be more proud of them," said head coach Louis Finocchiaro. "Obviously we're not happy with losing. We came here with all intentions of winning a hockey game, and we believed we could. But what I'm most proud of my kids is we continued to compete until the final buzzer."
