While the election is over, and we wrapped up most of our coverage last week, two more nuggets came in the last few days.
First, Melrose editor Daniel DeMaina completed his video of State Sen. elect Katherine Clark thanking her supporters on election night. The video had been delayed due to technical issues.
Second, Kara Fratto, the Reading resident who lost her bid to replace incumbent State Rep. Jim Dwyer, sent us an open letter thanking her supporters.
Both follow below.
Dear Editor:
I wanted to take this opportunity to thank all of my supporters for the assistance and support you have provided my campaign. I was very fortunate to have you in my corner throughout this past year. Although my campaign was not successful, I appreciate your willingness to contribute to my effort.
I met so many wonderful people this past year. I want to thank all those that were kind enough to listen to my message when I came to their door or called them on the phone.
While the results were not what we had hoped for, we conducted a principled campaign and we can all be proud of our efforts. It really was a great campaign.
Once again, I thank you for all your support. I am honored that I shared this incredible experience with you because our efforts were meaningful and worthwhile.
Thanks again,
Kara Fratto
