Empty Ammo Case Found in North Reading

The following information was supplied by the North Reading police department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

 

The following is a look at some of the calls handled by the North Reading Police Department from Wednesday through Thursday. The information is open to the public.

Wednesday, May 23

  • At 10:18 p.m., a caller reported credit card fraud.
  • At 3:27 p.m., a caller reported harassing phone calls.
  • At 4:20 p.m., a caller reported a car accident on Concord Street. No injuries were reported.

Thursday, May 24

  • At 1:06 p.m., a caller reported an erratic operator on Route 62. 
  • At 1:52 p.m., a caller reported finding an empty ammo case on the side of Burroughs Road.
  • At 10:05, the Fire Department reported receiving a call from the manager at McDonald's who said they were receiving harassing phone calls. Police spoke to the caller and advised him of a harassment statute and potential criminal charges.
