Father's Day Gift Guide

Some gift ideas for dad.

Not sure what to get your dad for Father's Day? Need a gift for the man who has everything? Whether he is a sports, car or food lover there is a gift idea for him on this list:

1. Red Sox items. They have a variety of items for a Red Sox fan at the Hitching Post Gift Shop in Reading including Sox Fan and Yawkey Way signs, puzzles, books and other gifts your dad will love. The puzzles are $12.95 and signs $23.95.

2. Clean his car. If your dad loves his car, sneak over to his house and clean it for him. Stop by True Value on Main Street in North Reading and pick up some AmorAll for the interior and tire cleaner and Nu Finish car polish for the exterior and get to work. You will be giving him a gift he will love for under $30. Take it one step further and pick up a 10" buffer for $34.99 for the exterior. You can give him the buffer after you've used it so he can polish his car throughout the year.

3. Barbecue gift basket. If your dad is a "grillmaster" pick up some of his favorite meats (prices vary) and gourmet honey barbecue sauce ($5.99) from the Olde Redding Butcher Shoppe and make a gift basket for him.

4. Lottery tickets. Stop by any convenience store and pick up lottery tickets. You never know how much they will be worth. Make it personal and choose your dads birthday and yours for the numbers.

5. Tee time. Get him a gift certificate to play at the Hillview Country Club or practice at the driving range on Main Street in North Reading. Green Fees at Hillview are $39 for 18 holes during the week and $42 on the weekend. Add an extra $16 if you want to pay for his golf cart, too. The Hillview Pro Shop also has a variety of equipment including clubs and gear.
