Five Things to Do This Weekend

Kids day, truck day and a wine tasting are all on tap this weekend.

 

Looking for something to do this weekend? Here are some ideas:

KIDS DAY 
Where/when: Ipswich River Park, Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. 
Why go: Enjoy free food, a DJ, inflatable rides, pony rides and more.

TRUCK DAY
Where/when: 400 Riverpark Dr, North Reading, Saturday at 9 a.m.
Why go: Give your child a fun-filled day and make a difference in the lives of homeless children at the same time. The donation fee for admission is $5. There will be a nut-free bake sale, raffle, truck-themed activities, train rides and more.

WINE TASTING
Where/when: Busa Wine & Spirits, Friday at 4 p.m.  
Why go: Sample a variety of wines.

OVER THE RIVER AND THROUGH THE WOODS
Where/when: Quannapowitt Players, Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m.  
Why go: Watch a comedy by Joe DiPietro.

ELECTRONIC AND APPLIANCE RECYCLE DAY
Where/when: Aldersgate United Methodist Church, Saturday at 9 a.m.  
Why go: Recycle these items: electronics for $5 each, appliances for $10 each, televisions from $10 to $25 each, monitors for $10 each and household batteries, cell phones and bikes for free.

Big recycling week-end for Reading residents...DPW Garage Sat 9-1pm Paper shredding, rigid plastics, electronics collection, goodwill donations - clothing. Styrofoam!
