Five Things to Do This Weekend

A yard sale, plant sale and concert are on tap this weekend.

 

Looking for something to do this weekend? Here are some ideas:

READING LIONS CLUB ANNUAL JOURNEY FOR SIGHT 5K ROAD RACE/1 MILE WALK

Where/when: Burbank Ice Arena, Saturday, 9 a.m.
Why go: This 5K road race/1 mile walk to raise money for Mass Lions Eye Research Fund. The top 3 male and female runners will win a cash prize.

PAWS 4 A CURE T-SHIRT SALE AND PET NAIL TRIMMING SALE

Where/when: Sassy Paws Pet Styles, Sunday 1 p.m.
Why go: Stop by and purchase your Paws 4 A Cure walk t-shirt and get your pet's nails trimmed for $5. The proceeds of the nail trimmings will be donated to their Paws 4 A Cure walk team: Team Sassy Paws. 

NORTH READING GARDEN CLUB SPRING PLANT SALE

Where/when: Flint Memorial Library, Saturday at 8 a.m.  
Why go: The North Reading Garden Club's annual spring plant, flower, and herb sale will feature hanging plants, annuals, perennials, veggies and herbs. Proceeds from this sale benefit the club's many civic projects including holiday wreaths, garden therapy, and maintaining gardens around North Reading.

HIKIN' HORNETS ANNUAL YARD SALE

Where/when: North Reading Masonic Lodge, Saturday at 9 a.m.
Why go: Browse through the items for sale at the yard sale and treats at the bake sale. There will also be a free car wash. The Rain Date is Sunday, May 20. Proceeds go towards the North Reading Hikin' Hornets trip to Williamsburg, Virginia this fall and their 38th summer western USA hiking/camping trip in 2013.

RMHS CHORAL CONCERT

Where/when: Reading Memorial High School, Friday at 7 p.m.
Why go: Support the RMHS Choral groups, Fermata Nowhere, Crescendudes and Mixed Choir while they perform in the annual Spring Into Song concert.
