Children's Fishing Derby, fun run and July birthday bash are all on tap this weekend.

15TH ANNUAL CHILDREN'S FISHING DERBY

Where/when: Clarke Park, Saturday at 8 a.m.
Why go: Fish in Martin's Pond from 8 to 11 a.m. The event is sponsored by the Wildside Bass Club and Martin's Pond Association.

JULY BIRTHDAY BASH

Where/when: Great American Tavern, Saturday at 9 p.m. 
Why go: Enjoy dinner and a party at Great American Tavern.

BLOOD DRIVE

Where/when: Unitarian Universalist Church of Reading, Friday at 10 a.m. 
Why go: Donate blood and receive a coupon for free ice cream from Friendly's. 

YARD SALES

Where/when: Throughout the weekend, check in with us at 6 a.m. on Saturday for details.  
Why go: Enjoy a shopping day and find some deals.

ADULT RUNNING INTEREST GROUP

Where/when: Memorial Park, Saturday at 7 a.m.  
Why go: 
Join other residents for a recreational four to five mile run.
