Five Things to Know Today: April 25

Your guide to Reading and North Reading today.

 

Today is Wednesday, April 25. Here are five things you need to know today:

1. The weather. The temperature will reach 57 degrees today and drop to 36 overnight. Rain is possible throughout the day.

2. Meet Jamie Chase. Stop by the Reading Public Library to meet Jamie Chase author of The Lazy Couponer and get some tips on how to save money by couponing at 7 p.m.

3. North Reading Land Utilization Committee (LUC). The LUC will meet at North Reading Town Hall at 7:30 p.m. Agenda items include walking trails and the Smith property.

4. Parks and Recreation. The Parks and Recreation Department still has openings in the following tennis programs: Adult Beginners, Wednesday 9-11 a.m.; Pee Wee, Wednesday, 11-11:45 a.m.; Pee Wee, Thursday, 1-1:45 p.m.; Grades 1-5, Thursday, 3:30-5 p.m.; Grades 1 -5, Saturday, 9-10:30 a.m.; Grades 6-8, Thursday, 5-6:30 p.m.; Grades 6-8, Saturday, 10:30 a.m.-12 p.m.; Adult Experienced, Friday, 9-11 a.m. Register online or call the office at 978-664-6016.

5. Reading Conservation Commission. The Conservation Commission will meet at Reading Town Hall at 7 p.m.  A regulation discussion and Earth Day debrief are two items on the agenda.
