Today is Friday, Aug. 10. Here are five things you need to know today:
1. Possible thundershowers. The temperature will reach 78 degrees in the afternoon and drop to 69 in the evening. Scattered thundershowers are possible throughout the day.
2. Pie in the face. Today is the last day to get our North Reading Facebook or Reading Facebook pages to 1,000 likes. If we can get the page to 1,000 likes, Editor Ashley Troutman offered to take a pie in the face. Please share this and help Ashley reach 1,000 likes today!
3. Boot camp. Stop by Reading Memorial High School for Boot Camp classes all day. Three time options are available 5:30 a.m., 6:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. They involve weight training, TRX, and cardio and cost $12.50. Contact Michelle O'Connor at michoconnor@verizon.net to sign up.
4. Bounce fun at Celebration Kingdom. Stop by Celebration Kingdom to utilize any of their four bounce structures and the coin operated game room. The cost for open play is $6 for walking children. Three to four children are $8.00.
5. Painting Group. Stop by the Reading Senior Center at 10 a.m. for a painting group. Bring your own supplies.
