Five Things to Know Today: Jan. 10

Your guide to Reading and North Reading today.

Today is Thursday, Jan. 10. Here are five things you need to know today:

1. The weather. Expect partly cloudy skies today with a high near 45, tonight a low around 25.

2. North Reading Pedestrian Sidewalk Committee. The Sidewalk Committee will meet at North Reading Town Hall at 6:30 p.m. A pedestrian survey update and GIS mapping of sidewalks update are both items on the agenda.

3. Preschool Storytime. The Flint Memorial Library is hosting preschool storytime at 9:30 a.m. Children ages four to five are welcome with a caregiver.

4. Buy a Bed. Help the Mission of Deeds with their Buy a Bed campaign. They are raising funds to buy new bed sets for those in need. Donation boxes can be found in various businesses in Reading and North Reading. With every $90 raised the Mission of Deeds can buy a new bed set.

5. Stump Trivia. Enjoy dinner and play a game of Stump Trivia at Great American Tavern at 8 p.m.
