Five Things to Know Today: Jan. 14

Your guide to Reading and North Reading today.

 

Today is Monday, Jan. 14. Here are five things you need to know today:

1. The weather. Expect mostly cloudy skies today with a high near 52, tonight a low around 31. There is a 40 percent chance of rain.

2. Reading CPDC. The CPDC will meet at Reading Town Hall at 7:30 p.m.

3. North Reading School Committee. The School Committee will meet at North Reading Middle School at 7 p.m. An MSBA and SSBC update and a Know Atom Science Program presentation are both items on the agenda.

4. Curious Science: Be an Engineer. Students in grades 3-5 are invited to the Reading Public Library at 6 p.m. to design and build towers out of pasta and marshmallows. Retired science teacher David Williams will encourage students to explore and try new strategies. Call 781-942-6705 to sign up.
