Five Things to Know Today: July 10

Your guide to Reading and North Reading today.

 

Today is Tuesday, July 10. Here are five things you need to know today:

1. The weather. The temperature will reach 84 degrees in the afternoon and drop to 59 in the evening. Expect mostly sunny skies.

2. Reading Selectmen. The selectmen will meet at Reading Town Hall at 7 p.m. The appointment of a Reading Municipal Light Department Board member and hearing confirming Causeway Road betterments are both items on the agenda.

3. North Reading Conservation Commission. The Conservation Commission will meet at North Reading Town Hall at 7:30 p.m. A public hearing for 173 Marblehead Street is on the agenda.

4. North Reading Library Summer Art Contest. The library's Summer Art Contest deadline for submission is on July 16. Get your submissions in before it's too late!

5. College application process. There will be a course at Reading Memorial High School designed for students entering 12th grade who want to learn about the college application process. The fee is $95.
