Five Things to Know Today: June 27

Your guide to Reading and North Reading today.

 

Today is Wednesday, June 27. Here are five things you need to know today:

1. The weather. The temperature will reach 72 degrees today and drop to 57 in the evening. There is a chance of showers in the forecast.

2. Blood Drive. There will be a Blood Drive sponsored by the American Red Cross at the Good Samaritan Lodge at 1 p.m. Donors receive a free Red Sox t-shirt.

3. North Reading Pedestrian Sidewalk Committee. The Pedestrian Sidewalk Committee will meet at North Reading Town Hall at 6:30 p.m. Agenda items include a library pedestrian display and Chestnut Street raised crosswalks.

4. Hillview Commission. The Hillview Commission will meet at the Hillview Country Club at 7 p.m. Review golf revenue and discuss condition of golf course are two items on the agenda.

5. Reading Board of Assessors. The Board of Assessors will meet at Reading Town Hall at 7 p.m.
