Five Things to Know Today: June 28

Your guide to Reading and North Reading today.

 

Today is Thursday, June 28. Here are five things you need to know today:

1. The weather. The temperature will reach 84 degrees today and drop to 59 in the evening. There is a chance of showers and thunderstorms in the forecast.

2. North Reading Secondary Schools Building Committee (SSBC). The SSBC will meet at North Reading High School at 6:30 p.m. A tennis discussion and high school principal's report are two items on the agenda.

3. Beer tasting. Stop by Busa Wine & Spirits and taste Sam Adams beers from 5 to 7 p.m.

4. Discussion for widows. Join Attorney Karol Bisbeen, RN, at the Reading Senior Center at 10:15 a.m. to talk about the transition from being overwhelmed to having a secure future.

5. Lego Club. The Lego Club for grades 2 and up will meet at the Flint Memorial Library at 2 p.m. Registration is not necessary.
