Why was the name Lori Mawn removed from the arrest report of the four druggies, one of which would appear to be her son?

Obviously the write up needed to be corrected!!!!! Why are you so concerned? You have no clue what the situation may have been, or what this mother has gone threw with her child! North reading has a very serious drug issue and has for years. I've seen good families go threw hell. Its a problem no one ever wants to try to deal with. Drugs and drug addicted kids do crazy things to great people with big hearts and I can tell you one thing the last thing any troubled family needs is some one like you enjoying their unhappyness! Until you go threw what they have keep your mouth shut. Also I pray for every family that has to go threw a drug addiction, stay strong, and hope that in the near future it to an end.

Spoken like a true apologist. The story states that, "A 41-year-old North Reading woman was summonsed for possession of a class B substance." Just asking why the name that was originally listed was struck from the story.

Because she was not arrested! Killed by assotiation. Thanks jim I'm not looking for an argument just saying its not nice to dwel on peoples sorrows! Karma is a bitch. I've never done drugs but was always considered trouble because of my choice of friends who to this day are still great people in my book regardless off the problems they've had.

That would be guilt by association. Can't blame this one on the size of your phone screen.

You should all buy, and read, the North Reading Transcript. Unlike the Patch, it does not censor the news. It printed this woman's name. There's something to be said for old fashioned media, provided by true professionals.

I'm not concerned with proof reading my fb post. Just saying again that there is no reason to make judgment on a situation you know nothing about! You're looking for an argument and to hurt peoples feelings. Who are obviously dealing with enough pain already!!! Its not my problem, I just don't like bullies and I read your first comment before it got deleted! It was mean.

Obviuosly someone needs a hobby!
Ya know what..... Until you have to live with one of your own children with an addiction..... You will have no idea what this gal has gone thru. Her name was removed because she is a mother, a mother who has been asking and begging for help. She has done nothing wrong!! She was NOT arrested and why do you care?!?!? She had three boys in her car that have a history an are watched like hawkes, and the police pulled her over because she had them in he car. Pull her record if you want to know her history, you won't find a fkn thing! Who the f are you to judge someone you don't even know, any of you?!?!? Get a life!!

Janet, I understand that you defending what sounds to me like she is a friend of yours. However you need to think about the damage that these three and people like them are causing. I am sick and tired of the drugs in our neighborhoods. All you need to do is google the names of the people arrested and you find that it has been less than a year since they were previously arrested, and some with weapons. Sure these people may be sick, but should the rest of us stand idle and have our homes robbed or kids introduced to hardcore drugs? I for one have had it!

Regarding why the female's name was not included in the log: We only print the names of people who are arrested on specific charges. We do not, per our policy, print the names of people who are issued summonses, because a summons is not the same as an arrest. A summons is an order to appear in court to answer a complaint, but that person has not been handcuffed, taken to the station, fingerprinted and booked. The two are not equivalent, so we don't print those names.
