UPDATED: 10 Have Taken Out Papers to Run for Office

There might be a race for Board of Selectmen.

Wondering who will be running in this year’s election? So far, eight residents have taken out papers from Town Hall to prepare for the elections this May.

Current member of the Water Commission Joseph C. Foti, former Selectman Joe Veno, and former School Committee member Maureen Harty-Vacca and incumbent Steve O'Leary took out papers for the Board of Selectmen. O'Leary and Selectman Jeff Yull are up for re-election this year.

Five residents took out papers for re-election: John Murphy for town moderator, Gerald Venezia and Karen M. Errichetti for the School Committee, Daniel J. Mills and Patricia Romeo for the Community Planning Commission and Michele A. Mawn for the Housing Authority.

Those candidates are required to receive signatures from 50 registered voters to qualify for the May 8 election.
