2. Live music in Wakefield
Where/When: Weekly on Fridays and Saturdays, starting at 9 p.m. Harringtons is located at 17 Water St, Wakefield. Lakeside Tavern is located at the Lord Wakefield Hotel, 595 North Ave., Wakefield.
Why Go: Harringtons offers traditional fare from the Emerald Isle along with classic American bar foods and live music. And Lakeside Tavern at the Lord Wakefield Hotel brings live music to Wakefield every Friday and Saturday. There’s sports on TV, great bands and libations, so come on down.

When/Where: Weekly on Fridays and Saturdays, 6:30-9:30 p.m., at Sushi Island, 397 Main St., Wakefield
Why Go: There is nothing better than good food and live music to start the weekend. This Friday, vocalist Karen Cameron takes the stage with Michael Shea on piano. On Saturday, vocalist Akiko will perform with guitarist John Baboian.
Price: No cover charge, but there is a $10 minimum charge for meal per person.
4. Sunday brunch with entertainment
When/Where: Weekly on Sundays, 10:30 a.m.-3 p.m., at the Fat Cactus, 215 Broadway, Lynnfield
Why Go: Enjoy the last day of the weekend with a delicious brunch and live entertainment by Kokomo Joe Fielding.

5. Breakheart-Fells Hiking Club
When/Where: Sunday, Feb. 20, 11 a.m., at Breakheart Reservation, 177 Forest St, Saugus
