Welcome back, Patch Blogger!

Is the Piccadilly Pub Closed?

What's going on with the Main Street restaurant?

Welcome to You Asked...Patch Answers where we answer readers questions. We recently received questions about the Piccadilly Pub on Main Street. Patch readers want to know if the restaurant is really closed. Here's your answer.

The Piccadilly Pub on Main Street is temporarily closed. According to their corporate office, information on why they closed has not been released yet.

Currently, they do not have a date scheduled to re-open.

According to a sign on the door of the restaurant, they want to thank residents for their loyalty and they "hope that we may have the chance to serve you again in the future."

Last May, the company closed its Tewksbury location after nearly 30 years. The Westboro-based chain said the closing was because of the economy.

This sucks on so many levels. We were just there on a weeknight recently and the place was packed.

It is time to start thinking of what would be good to have there. What do you think about a Joe Fish or Salvatore's? Any other ideas?

Any thing that doesn't store construction equipment outside and piles of wood (which by the way isn't allowed)! Main Street is a huge eye sore. Needs to be cleaned up.

Not sure if a Joe Fish or Salvatore's would work at that location. The people that would frequent a new restaurant there would probably be looking for something like the Pic, perhaps a 99 or some kind of pub.

Center Cafe has awesome breakfast and WAY better food than the Pic could ever dream of. Sadly, on the weekends, there is just not enough seating.

Damn, we were planning to go tonight for the chicken wing special. The problem appears to be with the parent company. Maybe they'll be cut loose and can re-open soon. Here's hoping.

Also, we're holding 4 unused "Get My Perks" deals. I just sent the Perks folks a request asking about how or if we get our money back and will post their answer here for those of you in the same boat.

Followup: I contacted the "Get My Perks" company and they are processing a refund to my charge card, no hassles, no questions.

We would like to thank "Rick Quarti" and "Jessica" ( who ever you may be) for your kind words, it's people like you that keep us going strong. We would love to relocate, more than you will ever know!!!! That spot would be ideal for us, I know that the weekends can be crazy there, but with that being said, over the last 5 years, we have worked extremely hard to get it to where it is today. And we will continue to work hard for everyone! We seem to be growing everyday and we couldn't be happier and it is thanks to all of you who have supported us through the years!!!! Thank you again for your kind words. And we welcome everyone to try us........FYI..., Our newest addition to our "Pancake List" is none other than RED VELVET WITH A CREAM CHEESE FROSTING AND WHIPPED CREAM........P.S...if you get there before 9am on the weekends, it's not as crazy.....Thank you, from all of us at The Centre Cafe.

Rumor has it that the Pic will rise again, sooner rather than later, as things progress with their parent company. Here's hoping!
