Joe Fish May Be Moving into Old Piccadilly Pub Location

A demolition permit was pulled by Jim's Restaurant Group, LLC, owned by Jim Dietz who runs Joe Fish.

There has been speculation that a Joe Fish restaurant will move into the old Piccadilly Pub location on Main Street in North Reading, and Jim's Restaurant Group, LLC, owned by Jim Dietz who owns and runs Joe Fish, pulled a demolition permit for the old Piccadily Pub location this week.

The Piccadilly Pub closed its doors in February of this year, stating that it was temporary and their corporate office did not release any information on why they closed. In March, Town Administrator Greg Balukonis said he received a letter from Piccadilly Pub saying the company was shopping the empty building.

The town's building department is still unable to confirm that Joe Fish will in fact be the restaurant that takes over the former Piccadilly Pub, as no building permits have been turned in. However, Jim's Restaurant Group, LLC pulled a demolition permit for the location on Aug. 28 and are now able to start work on the inside of the building, according to the building department.

Its so exciting to have a new restaurant in town. I love that it is a local business instead of a giant chain...and even happier that it is a place that will improve North Reading and our stretch of 28, and not add to its dumpy side. Three cheers for Joe Fish!
