Welcome to You Ask... Patch Answers where we answer readers questions. We recently received questions about the vacant lot on Park Street that was once North Reading Service. Patch readers want to know if the building was sold. Here's your answer.
North Reading Service, formerly Lew's Mobil, on Park Street was opened by Lew Vorrilas 47 years ago, and stayed open until last Spring. The building finally has a buyer.
According to Century 21 Spindler and O'Neil, they have the listing on the property at 160 Park St. and they have signed a purchase and sale agreement with the buyer, making the property under agreement. They declined to comment on the buyer for confidentiality reasons. They don't ever comment on the parties for a transaction until a sale has been consummated.

It tooks like Joe is correct. According to the Secretary of State's website, there's a newly formed (5/7/12) entity - 160 Park Street, LLC - of which one Mark G. Hall is the manager. Now I wonder what he is going to do with the property?

Hey Joe, if you get a chance you might want to check out the Patch article that explains the Reading water situation. You'll find that your $3000 average water bill, that you were claiming to be fact, was close to 3x higher than the actual figure, which I had been trying to convince you of all along, but instead you chose to ridicule me, which is par for the course for you.

Gee, those delivery trucks will make a nice addition to the lovely center vilage area, won't they? Not to mention all the fun that will ensue as customers cross Haverhill Street to reach his store. Whatever happened to his plan, so quickly and eagerly approved by the town, to cut down all of the remaining trees west of the store in order to build yet another access road? At least the Tyvek (most of it, anyway) is no longer visible on the old store.

Barry, every store has delivery trucks...even the "old" Ryer's! How else is the merchandise going to get there?? My guess is the delivery trucks will drop off their goods at Lew's, and Ryer's employees will bring it over to the store at their discretion. The employees will probably park at Lew's, too. Both these things will make parking in front of Ryer's more convenient for their customers.

No surprise there Joe. The folks that use their full name (fictious or not), that happen to agree with you, are just fine.It's the people, that for whatever reason they choose to not use their full name (fictious or not), that happen to not always fall in line with your opinions, that get knocked by you for being cowards. Thank God that you were never promoted beyond Head Crossing Guard, who knows what havoc you might have created back in the day.

When they built the new Ryers, they lost the revenue from parking for the Post Office employees, who now park at the Trinity church. Could it be that the Post Office employees will now park at the old Lew's?
