Man Charged In Connection With Motel 6 Carjacking, Kidnapping: TEWKSBURY--A 23-year-old man is facing multiple felony charges after allegedly carjacking a man at knifepoint in the parking lot of Motel 6.
Jeffrey Venter of Boston, no know address, was arrested in Roxbury on Jan. 1 with the help of the Boston Police Department. Tewksbury Police had obtained an arrest warrant on Ventner, charging him with Kidnapping, Armed Assault with Intent to Murder, Carjacking, Armed Robbery, Assault with a Dangerous Weapon and Assault and Battery.
Police Log: Man Allegedly Cuts Power to Neighbor's House: WILMINGTON--Calling from Washington Ave., a resident reported that his neighbor cut the power to his house. Police found that the power was cut to the side of the house. The resident in question did not answer the door so police forced entry to make sure he did not need medical attention after cutting the electrical service.
Michael J. Slattery, 49, of 12 Washington Ave., Wilmington, was arrested and charged with wanton destruction of property greater than $250, criminal harassment and arson of a dwelling house.
Stoneham Father, Son Arraigned in Little League Embezzlement Case: STONEHAM--A Somerville District Court judge ordered a Stoneham father and son accused of embezzling more than $50,000 from the West Medford Little League to surrender their passports and not leave the Commonwealth while their charges are pending.
Stanley Komins, 78, and is son, Stephen Komins, 45, both of Stoneham, appeared before Judge Neil Walker Friday morning for arraignment on their charges. Not guilty pleas were entered for both.
