North Reading Plaza Sold for $11.6 Million
North Reading Plaza was sold for $11.6 million to RK Centers.
According to a Boston.com article, North Reading Plaza was sold by Great Island Development to RK Centers for $11.6 million. Cushman & Wakefield represented Great Island Development in the deal, the article said.
Marshalls, the Dollar Tree and Citizens Bank occupy the plaza, which has about 154,000 square feet of retail space and is 98 percent leased, according to the article.
“Competition for well located assets in Metro Boston that have exceptional tenancy like that of North Reading Plaza provides tremendous upside for investors given the strength of the market fundamentals,” Geoffrey Millerd of Cushman & Wakefield said in the article.

I wonder if this means more retailers coming to the plaza. There are a couple of empty spaces there.

Ocean State Job lots! Welcome! We need another Dunkin Donuts and a Pizza place too! Throw in a nail salon too!

Well, realistically, none of the open spaces are big enough for Ocean State. :) But maybe a smaller shop. A Starbucks, maybe? A Panera? I am pretty sure this is the same company that just purchased the Woburn Mall.

It would be nice to see Walmart expand to include a supermarket to give some competition to the only other market in town.

That'd be great! Think it has enough room for that?

How about a small local business instead of a chain?

I would love to see Panera Bread go in the plaza.
