North Reading Resident Arrested for Assault and Battery on Child, Other Charges

The following information was supplied by the North Reading police department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

 

The following is a look at some of the calls handled by the North Reading Police Department from Friday through Sunday. The information is open to the public.

Arrests

At 11:55 a.m. Saturday, Robin Carbone, 44, of 3 Tarbox Lane was arrested on Tarbox Lane on charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, intimidating a witness, assault and battery on child with injury and reckless behavior creating a risk of serious bodily injury to a child.

At 1:42 p.m. Sunday, Jessica Norton, 27, of 35 Upham St. Apt. 1, Salem, was arrested on a warrant.

Friday, Oct. 19

  • At 10:56 a.m., a Strawberry Lane resident reported two suspicious men walking around a neighbor's house. Police found that the men were workers hired to work on the yard. 

Saturday, Oct. 20

  • At 9 a.m., a Park Street resident reported that her mailbox was on the ground.
  • At 7:12 p.m., several emergency callers reported a deer was hit and injured on North Street. The deer ran back into the woods.
  • At 9:36 a.m., a caller reported a possible underage drinking party on Pine Glen Drive. Police saw about 25 youths in the wooded area behind the house, but the youths scattered. 

Sunday, Oct. 21

  • At 1:06 a.m., a caller reported a possible fight on Main Street. It turned out that it was not a fight, but a verbal altercation.
  • At 5:35 p.m., a resident reported that a male stole his dirt-bike, but he was able to get it back. The male was still calling the resident, so he was advised of his options regarding a harassment complaint.

Advised of his options regarding a harassment complaint ? Why didn't the Police arrest the male who stole the dirtbike ?
