Police Log: Resident Makes Bad Bet on a Poker Table

1:28 a.m. A Grand Street resident reported that his dog had gone missing.
5:16 a.m. A County Road resident reported that a man in a car had been roaming the area. An officer spoke to the driver, who reported he was delivering newspapers and had gotten lost.
8:45 a.m. A Harnden Street resident reported that someone struck his vehicle around 6:30 that morning and then left the scene.
9:00 a.m. An officer witnessed a two-vehicle collision between a Tewksbury driver and a Methuen driver near the intersection of Lowell Street and Grove Street. The officer gave one of the drivers a ride to the Verizon Wireless store on Walkers Brook Drive.
10:05 a.m. An officer responded to a report of a man breaking into a motor vehicle at the Reading Athletic Club on General Way and found nothing unusual at the scene.
1:22 p.m. An officer responded to a report of a small black terrier roaming on High Street but could not locate the animal.
3:15 p.m. A Reading resident reported that his aunt, who he lives with, sold a poker table he owned for $200, which she gave him. He told police that he had planned to sell the table for $500. Police told him to take the matter to small claims court.
5:40 p.m. Following a traffic stop, an officer issued a citation to Rudy Ventura, 25, of Lynn charging him with driving without a license in an uninsured vehicle with a revoked registration.
5:49 p.m. A Bolton Street resident reported that someone had stolen a stove and some iron pipes form his yard.
7:12 p.m. Police received notice of a restraining order between two Reading residents.
8:18 p.m. A officer issued a citation to Benjamin Puliares, 23, of Biddeford, Maine charging him with driving an uninsured vehicle with a revoked registration.
8:39 p.m. An officer responded to a two-vehicle collision between two reading residents near the intersection of Main Street and Federal Street.
