Police Log: Winchester Woman Receives Summons

Winchester Woman Receives Summons

11:46 a.m.—As a result of a motor vehicle stop, Susan Glacken, 47, of Winchester, was summonsed for operating after license suspension and operating with an expired inspection sticker.

10:29 a.m.—Wakefield Police reported a male having trouble with a female passenger near South and Hopkins Streets. Officers responded and resolved the situation.

10:50 a.m.—Officers responded to a Summit Drive residence for a report of an unwanted guest—an intoxicated female. Police helped resolve the situation, and the reporting party agreed to give the woman ride to Cambridge.

1:05 p.m.—Police responded to Market Basket on General Way for a shoplifting report, involving a female who allegedly took items and left the store and got into a white Ford Taurus. A Market Basket employee stated she thought she heard the female say they were going to Stop & Shop next. Officers checked Stop & Shop but were unable to locate the suspect vehicle.

1:21 p.m.—Police received a report of two females in a black SUV possibly smoking marijuana in the parking lot of Bagel World on Main Street. Officers responded and found the females exiting Bagel World, but discovered no evidence of marijuana use.

2:04 p.m.—A female Sunset Rock Lane resident reported an unknown party photographing her home. She stated she followed the man to obtain his information, which she turned over police. After investigating, officers discovered the man in question works for an appraisal service.

3:19 p.m.—A Laurel Lane resident reported seeing smoke coming from a neighbors house. Police and Fire responded and resolved the situation, which was due to an improperly venting wood stove.

7:30 p.m.—An ambulance was summoned to Burbank Arena after a spectator was struck in the head by a hockey puck during a game. The injured party had already left when authorities arrived.

10:23 p.m.—Police responded to a report of a suspicious motor vehicle on Frank Tanner Drive and discovered a resident and a friend had been changing a tire in the lot and there was no issue.
