Reading Girls Basketball Wins North Division 2 Crown
With their 50-33 victory on Saturday, the Rockets advanced to play on Monday at TD Garden.
Reading High School's quest for back-to-back undefeated girls basketball seasons lives on.
Though North Andover sliced the Rockets' lead into single digits in the third quarter, Reading was in command throughout and cruised to a 50-33 victory in the North Division 2 final at Lowell's Tsongas Center.
With Olivia Healy shut down for much of the game, Reading was able to rely on 19 points from Sarah Haase. Following the victory, the Rockets move on to play on Monday on the parquet of TD Garden.
"It's great to get a win, but we can't get ahead of ourselves," said Haase, a junior. "We're going into the Garden and it's going to be another big game."
