Searchers Reunite Missing Child With Her Parents

Young girl with Down Syndrome had been reported missing in the vicinity of Spruce Road.

A North Reading family is breathing a sigh of relief this morning after missing daughter was located safe and sound.

The child, an 8-year-old with Down Syndrome, had been reported missing Saturday morning. North Reading Police requested the help of area law enforcement agencies for help with the search, which began in the area of Spruce Road.

Of special concern to the family and the searchers was the fact that the girl was reportedly attracted to water and she was barefoot when last seen.

No details are available on where the girl was found but she was located around 10:15 a.m. and reunited with her parents, according to BNN-Rescue emergency alert notifications.

Great job by the North Reading police and fire departments, along with state police and surrounding towns!
