Selectman Candidate Forum at RCTV Studios

The Reading–North Reading Chamber of Commerce will host a candidate forum with John Arena and Karen Gately Herrick tonight at 7:30.

The following is a press release issued by the RNR Chamber of Commerce

Two candidates, Karen Gately Herrick and John J. Arena, are vying for one open seat on the Board of Selectmen. As a service to its members and to residents, the Reading – North Reading Chamber of Commerce is hosting an event at which you can meet the candidates, hear their positions, and ask questions. Sponsored by the Government Affairs Committee of the Chamber, the event will be held on Feb. 14 from 7:30 to 9 a.m. at the RCTV Studios located at 553 Main Street.

“The actions of the Board of Selectmen affect our Town and our lives,” said Government Affairs Committee chair Attorney William Crowley. “It is really important that we know who represents us, and that we know who wants to represent us on the board. With a contested election, now is the time to ask the questions and get to know the candidates. The choice that voters make on March 6th may result in decisions made by the board that will affect us for many years to come.”
