One small thing that I started doing years ago was to buy reusable grocery bags that I store in my car. I also have smaller net bags for produce.

Hi Ashley and Danielle - Here at The Chocolate Truffle in Reading, we go green in several ways. First, when customers spend $50 in the store, they receive a reusable cloth shopping bag. When they come back to the store and use the bag again, they receive a 15 percent discount on their purchase. Also, we source locally as much as we possibly can: our peanut butter comes from Teddy's in Everett, and our chocolate pizzas are packed in boxes custom made for us in Wakefield. We reuse all packing materials, and our gift baskets come in reusable ceramic, metal, or wooden containers. We encourage our customers to think green thoughts when we include only one shopping bag per purchase. While additional bags are available for purchase, when people think about it, they usually realize they only need one. And finally, by encouraging people to shop close to home, we can limit the impact on the environment by cutting back on vehicle trips, while also boosting the local economy.
