Due to a severe thunderstorm this afternoon, two trees fell on Shirley Avenue and one fell on a house. No one was injured, however the home suffered significant damage.

The roof of 13 Shirley Ave. was hit by a tree, causing water to pour in through the light fixtures. Another tree fell next to 10 Shirley Ave. and is blocking the roadway.

Neighbors Julie Emrich and Bella McDonald said they heard the tree crash and their house shook. 

"It was really scary," Emrich said while standing outside watching the clean up.

The Fire Department and DPW crew were on scene to clean up the trees.
