Wallet Stolen from Candlewood Lanes

The following is a look at some of the calls handled by the North Reading Police Department from Monday through Tuesday. The information is open to the public.

Arrests

At 10:51 a.m. on Monday, John Dwyer, 60, of 103 Main Street was arrested for a town by-law offense.

Monday, Dec. 5

  • At 12:53 p.m., a North Reading resident reported losing his wedding ring on a frozen food delivery at Stop & Shop. A manager from the store reported that the ring was found by another employee and placed in a white envelope. A female employee allegedly overheard the story claimed the ring, according to the police log. Stop and Shop is conducting an internal investigation into the matter.
  • At 4:43 p.m., several emergency callers reported a car accident on Park Street.
  • At 5:47 p.m., a Marblehead Street resident reported that he came home and found his front door ajar and back slider open. A jewelry box and loose change are missing. Police are investigating.

Tuesday, Dec. 6

  • At 8:54 p.m, a North Reading resident reported that his wallet, containing $250 and credit cards, was stolen from Candlewood Lanes
