It's that time of year when everyone is raking the leaves in their yards and filling bags with them. Find out when your town will pick up leaves, and where to drop them off if you can't wait.

North Reading

Curbside leaf pickup is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 1.

Residents can bring branches and debris to the DPW complex to dispose of them on Saturdays and Sundays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. throughout the entire month of November for free (no contractor waste will be allowed).

"The recycling center will also be open on Saturday December 1 and 8 and then it will be closed until spring," DPW Director Dick Carnavale said.

Reading

According to the Reading DPW your leaves will be picked with your regular trash on the week of Nov. 26, as long as they are in paper bags. Or, you can bring your leaves to the Compost Center if you have a pass. The pass is $25 and can be purchased at Town Hall. The Compost Center is open until the end of November. You can pick up a schedule of their hours when you buy a pass.
