Though not on the list, our family loves Brothers in Wakefield - the quickest service around for full, delicious breakfast meals and many options/configurations are possible, nice staff, plus plenty of parking around -- all key when you're dining out with young kids. Personally while I love bagels as much as anyone I do not have the patience/time for the beloved Bagel World.

Not on the list but not to far away. Westside Family Restaurant on Lowell St. in Peabody is fantastic. The best on this list. Bagel World in Reading. You will not find better bagels anywhere.

If you don't mind spending $10 for three pancakes and a cup of coffee, Christophers is your kind of place.

I don't remember the pancake prices, but I know I don't like to stand around waiting to get a seat. I also like relaxing with a good cup of coffee and a friendly staff. I like a menu with many options to match my mood. And I like knowing I'll get what I wanted, the way I wanted it. That's why Christopher's is on my list of places to visit when I come home. I lived in Reading 40 years and can't remember a place that could top their egg magic. Not even the Reading Diner.

The Center Cafe has the best food and best value around....I have heard great things about Christopher's but why would I drive all the way to Reading when I can have great food in a fantastic atmosphere right her in town....this is why we need our own patch

We are new to town. We tried to go to The Center Cafe for breakfast yesterday and found out the hard way that they are closed on Mondays. So we stumbled into Ryers instead. Lucky for us, we were the first ones to try their brand new breakfast menu. Very extensive. Hubby and I enjoyed our meals. Maybe they should be added to this poll since they are in NR.

Hands down for the best breakfast in the area, it's Centre Cafe! Sure you may have to wait a few extra minutes, but everything that comes out of Chef Tony's kitchen is fresh, made-to-order, delicious and worth the wait. Sandy and her waitstaff welcome everyone with smile in this cheery gem of a place. Check out Chef's smoked offerings and specialty pancakes that are always a treat. You won't be sorry. Yum and more yum!
