What would you call making the kind of insinuations that are inherent in your first first post here? There's nothing more hateful than making veiled accusations that call into question the reputation of a business - especially when you're not even man enough to back them up with any facts. That's not only hateful, but it's cowardly.

Joe, I am a bit surprised at these posts. I have known you for over 30 years, mostly through your former position as a Reading police officer. To the best of my recollection, our relationship has only been one of business person and police officer. I don't ever remember having a cross word with you, nor do I ever remember having a business relationship with you. We have been in business for over 56 years and I take great pride in my reputation and my integrity. To comment "Be very careful at Simms Jewelers" would imply that we are a not a reputable/trustworthy business. I am greatly offended by that comment, sir. I, just as my father before me, have built our successful business on trust and fairness. I cannot allow an unsubstantiated comment to discredit my father's reputation or my own reputation. We have always been supportive of community activities, both in Reading and North Reading. I have also served as Chamber of Commerce President and as President, Reading Downtown Steering Committee. I would appreciate a phone call to clarify your post.
