Youths Banned from Walgreens in Reading for Reportedly Knocking Items Off Shelves

The following is an excerpt from the Reading Police Department log. Where charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

 

The following is an excerpt from the Reading Police Department log from Monday through Tuesday. The information is open to the public.

Monday, July 9

  • At 12:48 p.m., a caller reported a car accident on Main Street. No injuries were reported.
  • At 2:31 p.m., a caller reported harassing phone calls.
  • At 4:12 p.m., a caller reported credit card fraud.
  • At 4:21 p.m., a caller reported a car accident on Salem Street. The injuries were unknown.
  • At 9:16 p.m., a caller reported youths gathering outside of Walgreens. The youths reportedly knocked items off the shelves in the store and the manager banned them from the store.
  • At 9:27 p.m., a caller reported youths stringing duct tape across Pleasant Street. Police spoke with the youths and they were all picked up by their parents.
  • At 10:20 p.m., a caller reported a suspicious vehicle on Milton Road. The caller stated that one person got out of the car and went up to a house on Milton Road, then asked the other person in the car to shut the lights off. Police spoke to a female in the car who said she was dropping a male off and was going to see someone in Reading. The female was sent on her way.
  • At 10:31 p.m., a caller reported a male in a neighbor's backyard with a flashlight. Police searched the area, but were unable to find the male.

Tuesday, July 10

  • At 7:10 a.m., a caller reported a car accident on Main Street. No injuries were reported.
  • At 2:30 p.m., a caller reported a car accident on Main Street. One car backed into another. No injuries were reported.
  • At 4:52 p.m., a couple flagged down an officer on Green Street and reported that their neighbor threatened them.
  • At 10:51 p.m., a caller reported fireworks near Summer Avenue. Police checked the area, but did not find anything.

    If the town only had a Youth Center, then these poor children could vandalize it instead.

    Are them kids on your lawn again, Tom? I can't stands when them whipper snappers do that.

    Deviants...lol.... Sounds more like regular teenagers to me
