What Does "Bundling Your Insurance" Mean?

Who doesn’t want to save money these days? When it comes to your insurance, you want to make sure that you aren’t sacrificing any coverage in order to get a lower rate. One way that you can save a little money without changing your coverage is by bundling. We see and hear a lot about bundling from the insurance commercials out there. Before working for Encharter Insurance, I’ll admit I wasn’t quite sure what it meant. To put it simply: having your Massachusetts home or renters insurance with the same company that you have your Massachusetts auto insurance can save you money.

Bundling doesn’t stop at just your home and auto insurance, it can also include other insurance policies, like umbrella insurance. As I always remind you, there’s only one way to find out! Call your agent and ask if their company offers a bundling discount.

Umbrella insurance, put simply, is insurance that provides an "umbrella" of added coverage. They can help protect you from liability issues that go beyond the liability limits you already have on your standard insurance policies.
