At Joshua Eaton Elementary, a group of students set aside some time each month to air and consider their peers' ideas to improve the school. Those suggestions can range from ridding the cafeteria of cheese cubes to organizing theme days where students pay a small fee to dress up in an unusual way—from dressing like their favorite book character to wearing their pajamas. They also choose what to do with the collected money, which includes donating to charity or soldiers overseas.
