The Thing With Feathers: The Emily Dickinson Choreography Project
This collaborative dance piece will be performed on the front lawn of the Reading Public Library on Friday, June 15th from 4:45-5:10. A trio of dancers has been working on this piece for a little short of a month under the direction of Rachel Vinciguerra, a dance minor from Ohio Wesleyan University, working on this independent study. It should be roughly 20 minutes.
The piece explores some major themes of Emily Dickinson's life and poetry in a way that has made her relatable and relevant to the dancers. Hopefully we will be able to reach out to the audience with the same effect.
We would love to see you there!! We will be collecting optional donations for arts education at the event, but it is free to attend!
