Artis Senior Living Scheduled at Thursday Zoning Board Meeting

Here are five things to start your Thursday in Reading.

1. Happening Thursday: Just one Reading board meets on Thursday in town. The Zoning Board of Appeals holds a 7 p.m. session inside the Town Hall Board of Selectmen meeting room. During the session, a public hearing will be held for Artis Senior Living, which seeks a variance/special permit to construct a 64-bed nursing home on Main Street.

2. Soccer Thursday: A pair of Reading High School teams are in action on Thursday. The girls soccer team hosts Watertown at 6 p.m. while the boys soccer team travels to face Watertown at 6:30 p.m.

3. Bright Sunshine Day: According to the National Weather Service, temperatures will settle in at 77 degrees on Thursday in Reading. There will be plenty of sunshine and a light breeze in the morning. Some clouds will roll in as nightfall arrives.
