Olde Redding Faire and Susan Komen Race Set for This Weekend

Here's a look at some exciting events happening in the coming days in Reading and beyond.

The weekend is here and there are plenty of things to do in Reading and the surrounding area in the upcoming days.

Friday Night Lights: The Reading High School football team narrowly escaped with a season opening road win last week. On Friday night at 7 p.m. the Rockets return home hoping to improve to 2-0 with a contest against visiting Arlington High School.

Olde Redding Faire: On Saturday at 10 a.m., the Olde Redding Faire kicks off at First Congregational Church in Reading. The event includes caramel apples, pumpkins, mums, games and much more.

Race for the Cure: Residents from Reading and beyond will be taking part in the 21st annual Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure on Saturday at 8 a.m. in Boston. The walk/run is a non-profit fundraiser that helps raise money for breast cancer research and education.
