Reading Public Library Holds Toddler Singalong

Here are five things to start your Friday in Reading.

1. Singalong Time: Reading Public Library hosts infant toddler singalong from 10:15-10:45 a.m., with guest artist Peter Sheridan. Youngsters can dance, sing and clap along to the music in the family friendly event.

2. Rockets in Action: The Reading High School girls swimming team is in Belmont at 4 p.m., the field hockey team travels to Watertown at 5 p.m. and the girls volleyball team holds a home match at 5:30 p.m.

3. No Friday Football: Reading's football team is not under the Friday night lights, but they'll be in action this weekend. The Rockets take to the road against Winchester at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.

4. Some Sunshine: According to the National Weather Service, temperatures will settle in around 76 degrees to close out the week. Skies will be partly sunny on Friday to go with a calm breeze.

5. ICYMI: In case you missed it, the Reading Police Department recently made two arrests for residents who allegedly were driving under the influence of alcohol.
