Selectmen to Discuss Paint and Sip at Tuesday Meeting

Here are five things to start your Tuesday in Reading.

1. Paint and Sip: The Reading Board of Selectmen will discuss a variety of topics during a Tuesday meeting at 7 p.m., including a proposed paint and sip style business. Check back Wednesday with Patch for complete coverage.

2. Happening Tuesday: Also happening on Tuesday, the Retirement Board meets at 6 p.m., the Parents Advisory Council holds a 6:30 p.m. session, the School Council meets at 7 p.m. and the Historical Commission gathers at 7:30 p.m.

3. Rockets in Action: Several Reading High School teams are in action on Tuesday. The girls and boys cross country team takes on Lexington at 3:30 p.m., the field hockey team hosts Arlington at 3:30 p.m., and the golf team hits the links versus Lexington at 3:30 p.m.

4. Library Events: A pair of events are slated for Tuesday at Reading Public Library. A drop in book discussion called Word of Mouth is set for 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. and at 7 p.m. a presentation called Stem Cells and the 2012 Nobel Prize kicks off.

5. More Sunshine: According to the National Weather Service, temperatures will peak at 67 degrees on Tuesday. Sunshine will be aplenty and rain is unlikely.
