Tuesday is a Busy Day of Sports and Meetings

Here are five things to start your Tuesday in Reading.

1. Board of Selectmen: After meeting in a joint session with the School Committee on Monday, the Reading selectmen will hold their regular gathering on Tuesday at 7 p.m. inside Town Hall at 7 p.m.

2. More Meetings: In addition to selectmen, the Economic Development Committee, Community Planning and Development Commission, Recreation Committee, and Trails Committee all meet at 7 p.m.

3. ICYMI: In case you missed it on Monday, we provided photos from a pair of Reading High School sports wins that happened over the weekend. The Rockets boys soccer team toppled Wilmington, 1-0, while the field hockey team snagged a 3-2 win.

4. Speaking of Sports: Tuesday is a busy day of sports as well. The cross country teams run at 3:30 p.m. on the road in Melrose, the field hockey team hosts Burlington at 3:30 p.m., the girls freshman soccer team travels to Burlington and the boys freshman soccer team hosts the Red Devils.

5. Clouds Tuesday: According to the National Weather Service, temperatures will spike up to 80 degrees on the day while skies will be mostly cloudy and there is a 20 percent chance of rain.
